Each Mano Pochette is a study in artistry and precision. At first glance, its silhouette appears deceptively simple. But beneath the surface lies a complex architecture: 53 individual components, precisely constructed from MIRUM® – our 100% plant-based, plastic-free leather alternative – organic cotton lining, and bespoke internal reinforcements.
Every decision is intentional. Every detail engineered for harmony: balancing structure with softness, reinforcing pressure points without unnecessary weight. Here’s a glimpse into the meticulous, slow process behind each bag. It’s not everything, but it’s enough to appreciate the care in every touch.

CUTTING
Each component – MIRUM®, organic lining, and structural reinforcements – is cut using custom die tools, ensuring flawless precision. These are placed on a manual press machine, giving us full control over placement and helping to reduce material waste.

SKIVING
Skiving is a subtle technique, often overlooked, yet essential to the Mano Pochette’s refined silhouette. It thins the edges of select materials, allowing for seamless joins and a soft sculptural volume where needed.

LASER ENGRAVING
Our logo is laser-engraved directly into MIRUM® – a modern, chemical-free process that leaves a crisp yet understated signature.
BONDING & SECOND CUT
After bonding, the materials are cut again, this time together. This “double cut” method ensures perfect alignment – unachievable by cutting and joining separately. Here is an example of this process for the handle:

CLOSURE MECHANISM & HANDLE ASSEMBLY
The bag's belt and loop closure requires precise alignment, down to the millimetre. The handle, gently padded for comfort and beautiful visual effect, is also assembled during this phase.

LINING & INTERNAL CONSTRUCTION
Inside matters as much as outside. The organic cotton lining is pressed, the interior pocket is sewn, and MIRUM® trim is added.

BODY ASSEMBLY
The front, back, and base panels are joined first, forming the core structure. The side gussets are added last, as the Mano takes its final, sculpted form.

STRAP & HARDWARE
The shoulder strap is constructed with its loops and a polished stainless steel buckle, offering both comfort and versatility.

EDGE PAINTING
Edges are hand-painted to perfection: two layers of base coat are followed by two coats of edge paint, resulting in elegantly rounded, smooth edges that resist wear and elevate the aspect of the bag. Between coats, edges are sanded smooth and allowed to dry – a time-intensive process, but one that defines the final quality.

FINAL TOUCHES
Each bag will be individually inspected, cleaned, and packed in an organic brushed-cotton dust bag. It will then boxed in our signature plastic-free packaging, ready to become part of your life.
This is what goes into a single Mano Pochette: time, care, and an almost obsessive attention to detail – all in a tiny atelier in southern Spain. I hope you found this glimpse behind the process interesting 🤍
