The name “Mano,” meaning hand in Spanish, is tribute to the craft, care, and human touch behind every piece.

- Outer: 100% plant-based MIRUM®. Unlike most vegan leathers, MIRUM® is entirely plastic-free and has a 10x lower footprint than synthetic and chrome-tanned leather
- Lining: GOTS-certified organic cotton
- Hardware: Stainless steel or 24K gold-plated stainless steel via PVD coating
- Thread: Recycled polyester
MIRUM® is naturally water-resistant and designed to remain beautiful over time. To clean, gently wipe with warm water. For tougher marks, use a small amount of mild detergent.

Orders will ship once production is finalised in the second half of June. We currently ship to the UK, EU and US, where we offer free delivery with duties included.

MIRUM®
MIRUM® is the world’s first 100% plant-based, plastic-free leather alternative – and the material the world needed.
Crafted in the US from natural rubber, plant oils, minerals, and organic cotton, it’s made without water discharge and has a carbon footprint ten times lower than leather and synthetic alternatives. Better for the earth, and just as beautiful to the touch.

The interior is lined with GOTS-certified organic cotton, softly brushed for a smooth feel against the skin and responsibly grown in Turkey.

Stainless Steel
We use only stainless steel for its lasting shine and resistance to wear. Our gold hardware is PVD-coated in 24K gold. For brilliance that lasts, with lower environmental impact.

Composed of 52 individual pieces, the Mano Pochette is a quiet feat of engineering with its sculptural form built to retain shape over time. The tab closure demands millimetric precision, a subtle marker of true craftsmanship. Each bag is handmade by our two artisans in Ubrique – a level of care and continuity rare in modern luxury, and core to LOUÉ's ethos.

Placing your order
When will it ship?
Production is already underway. Your Mano Pochette will ship as soon as crafting is complete – estimated for mid-June, with deliveries expected in the second half of the month.
How many are available? Will there be a restock?
Only 80 Mano Pochettes are being made – 30 in Cognac, 50 in Black.
We hope to make more in the future, but due to the long material lead times and our slow, artisanal process, restocks won’t happen anytime soon.
How do I get the £50 gift code?

Why MIRUM®
What is MIRUM® made of?
MIRUM® is made of:
- 43% natural rubber
- 23% mineral fillers
- 13% plant oils
- 14% cotton backer
- 4% natural pigments
- 2% patented plant-based curative
Since MIRUM is plant-based, will it disintegrate in my closet?
No! MIRUM® is built to last. Think about wood – it's natural but incredibly durable. It won’t break down during everyday use. MIRUM® only biodegrades in specific industrial composting environments, and when it does, it leaves behind no microplastics or toxins, just nutrients.
Is it just another cheap vegan leather?
Not even close. MIRUM® was developed over 10 years by the scientists at NFW (Natural Fiber Welding), a company on a mission to create a premium, plastic-free alternative to conventional synthetic leathers.
It has won numerous awards and costs more than most traditional leathers. You're investing in better materials, and helping drive innovation in fashion.
How durable is it?
Extremely. MIRUM® is used in BMW interiors, where materials must meet some of the highest durability standards in the world. With proper care, your bag will age beautifully and last for years to come.
Will it peel like PU?
No. PU (polyurethane) is essentially layers of plastic glued onto fabric so it dries out, cracks, and peels over time.
MIRUM® is entirely different: it’s made by mechanically pressing natural rubber onto a cotton backing. No plastic, no synthetic coatings. It stays flexible and softens gently with use, without peeling.
How does it feel?
Supple, smooth, and substantial – comparable to calfskin. Most people are surprised to learn it’s not leather.
How do I care for it?
MIRUM® is naturally water-resistant and easy to care for. However, like with any fine natural material, avoid sharp objects, abrasives, oils, and direct contact with perfume. Store your bag in its cotton dust bag when not in use. To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth; for tougher marks, use a little warm water and mild detergent.

What fits?
The Mano Pochette is surprisingly spacious – it fits your phone, keys, small wallet, lipstick, sunglasses, airpods, and a few extras.
Is the closure secure?
Absolutely. The tab closure was intentionally designed to be hardware-free – minimal, functional, and secure. It stays firmly in place, and thanks to its unique construction, it's not the kind of closure most people (or pickpockets) instinctively know how to open.
